ADYAPANA 2012 : The most focused entry into the world of education

ADYAPANA 2012 Sri Lanka’s most focused and career oriented exhibition will be held this year for the seventh consecutive time on the 5th, 6th and 7th of October 2012 and the BMICH. The Batticaloa arm of the exhibition is to be held on the 12th , 13th and 14th of October while the Jaffna exhibition is scheduled to be held 18th , 19th & 20th January 2013.

The exhibition which has been endorsed by the Ministry of Higher Education- Sri Lanka has over the years witnessed an unprecedented interest from parents and students alike from all parts of the Island, mainly due to its highly focused exhibitors, providing students with unparalleled access and exposure to the wide world of secondary and tertiary education. The term “ADYAPANA” itself has been looked upon as a term that has broken all boundaries existent within the country, thus attracting keen and eager students from the length and breadth of the Island bringing them under one roof to further their dreams of a solid and recognized future.

The exhibition is held during the month of October and over the years the timing has proved vital for many students who around the Island as it coincides with the completion of the Advanced Level Examination. The natural tendency of many students and parents during this period is to ensure that all options available in higher education are explored with many students taking firm decisions as to their future during this period as well.

The Exhibition organized by Presidential award winning, LECS (Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services) has over the years provided the most focused platform for both educationist and students alike. “ADYAPANA has over the years built a solid reputation of being the most career oriented education exhibition provider. The number of students that have used the “ADYAPANA” pathway to further their careers bears witness to this fact. Even this year we will attract a focused student and parent group to our exhibition thus resulting in high turnover rates for the education institutions and fast tracked career progress for the students” Imran Hassan, Director of LECS said.

The very fact that the exhibition has ensured that over 180,000 students from the lengths and breath of the island have taken their ‘Passport to the future’ at “ADYAPANA” bears ample testimony to the exhibitions result focus on results. Both exhibitors and students have over the years benefited from this extreme focus on attracting the most sought after exhibitors and the keenest students - a culmination of which has provided to be the centre piece of the exhibitions success story.

The exhibition provides exhibitors an ideal opportunity to create brand awareness among the general student population and parents who will be visiting the fair to explore career options for themselves and the children. It will also provide a central platform for educationist and all other stakeholders involved within the Sri Lankan education sector to witness the massive opportunities that are available for Sri Lankan students and academics within and outside the shores of Sri Lanka.

David Samuel speaking on behalf of the Australian Trade Commission said that ‘ADYAPANA’ will provide the ideal meeting point for students and educationist of Australia. “Austrade wish to support Australian education providers to showcase their education capabilities for Sri Lankan students who are looking forward to study in Australia. Austrade has been working with LECS for the last three years and our objective is to continue profile and enhance Australia as an education destination” he said
Speaking further Samuel noted that the excellence displayed by Lankan students in the past has been a motivating factor for the Australian Trade Commission to partner in the Lankan students endeavors. “Sri Lankan students have excelled in their studies in Australia, and also for them Australia has been a preferred education destination. By exhibiting at ADYAPANA, we believe that Australian education providers will have the opportunity to discuss direct with students and parents study opportunities in Australia” he said.

The Australian Trade Commission would provide for a comprehensive Australian Education Pavilion which will include many of the most sought after universities that have been recognized internationally for its superior quality in meeting with the present day needs of students.

The exhibition will also provide the exhibitors a comprehensive opportunity to analyze the Lanka student market and cater to their ever growing needs and demands. The vast array of national and international institutions scheduled to be a part of the exhibition will most definitely attract a wider audience towards the exhibition. Leading Universities and Higher education institutes from the United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, Nepal and Singapore among many others will provide the Sri Lankan student with a distinct and clear platform to explore the best in the education the world has to offer them.
