Visakha’s Nadeera Jayasekera triumphs at Aquatic Championships

Nadeera Jayasekera of Visakha Vidyalaya recently created history in her school at the Sri Lanka Schools Age Group Aquatic Championships 2012 held at the Ananda College Swimming Pool.

She came first in all three Under 17 Girls events - 50m Free Style (29.55), 100m Back Stroke (1:11.52)  and 50m Back Stroke (32.86)  – creating new records in all three categories. Jayasekera was also a member of both 100m Medley and the 100m Free Style Relay teams which were placed First with new records at the same meet.
