HSBC wins MEGAMIND 2012

Team Invictus from HSBC Data Processing Lanka Ltd emerged as the winner of the first MEGAMIND 2012 quiz competition organised by SLASSCOM (Sri Lanka Association of Software and Services Companies) was held recently at the Park Street Mews Warehouse. The 1st and 2nd runners up were teams from Amba Research and Dialog Axiata respectively. The winning team walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- while 2nd and 3rd placed winners received cash prizes of Rs. 30,000/- and Rs.20,000/- respectively.

It was a night of friendly rivalry with many teams competing head to head with each round winners decided by tie-breakers. The best dressed team award was won by Quizzical Ninjas from Team Mazarin. With over 350 IT/ BPO professional participating at this event, MEGAMIND 2012 was a resounding success and SLASSCOM would like to thank all those who participated at the event including HSBC and Leapset for their sponsorships.

SLASSCOM plans to continue facilitating an annual quiz competition for the IT/ BPO industry. The success of MEGAMIND 2012 showcased the interest shown by the industry for such industry events as it provides an ideal opportunity for networking for industry professionals.
