A Body Shop team of skin experts formulated the Oils of Life range using three seed oils known for their intensely life-giving properties, sourced from three corners of the world. Black Cumin Seed Oil from the Egyptian Nile Valley is known for its high concentration of antioxidants; Camellia Seed Oil from the Evergreen Trees of China is naturally rich in nutritive oleic acids; and Rosehip Seed Oil from the Andes Foothills of Chile is bursting with Omega 3 and 6 oils. These seeds have been cold-pressed to yield their oils fully preserved and in the purest form, enriched with potent properties that ensure close affinity with skin.
“The Body Shop has always sourced ingredients from around the world and taken inspiration from traditional beauty rituals,” says Arnaud Jeanteur, General Manager, The Body Shop International. “When our team discovered the potency of these three seed oils from Egypt, Chile and China we decided to create a skincare range that would replenish nutrition, deeply revitalize the skin and provide visible radiance to women.”
Together, the Oils of Life range creates a morning and evening skincare routine that can transform tired and lifeless skin. When the product was tested on a large group of women, 84% agreed that the formula was intensely revitalizing and that it had a quick absorbent texture. The Intensely Revitalizing Essence Lotion is the first step to prepare the skin. This bi-phase formula (oil and water) style has been used by Asian women for years with great success; the lotion is lightweight and needs only a minute on the skin to activate, preparing it for the next step. Then, apply a few drops of the Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil; the three precious seed oils have been infused with a blend of seven other oils in this formula. These are essential oils-Lavendar, Rosemary Leaf, Geranium, Orange Peel, Lavandin, Marjoram Leaf, Roman Chamomile-that effortlessly melt on to the skin with a silky-soft and non-sticky finish, making for a highly sensorial experience.
