Youth and Sports Minister Nazmul Hasan MP has confirmed to take forward the shooting. At the same time, he assured all kinds of cooperation to increase the international achievement of shooting. He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the 27th Inter-Club Shooting Competition organized by Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation on 11 February 2024 Sunday.

Youth and Sports Minister said that shooting is a potential sport of Bangladesh. It is one of the most successful disciplines of Bangladesh in the international arena. Bangladesh shooting has a glorious past to brighten the image of the country in the outside world. And for this reason, we want to take forward the shooting on a priority basis. We have already identified shooting as a potential game and have taken various plans to develop the game. All kinds of cooperation will be given to increase the international achievement of shooting. I believe it is possible to achieve better results in shooting at the international level.

 



 

Assured to assist in collecting sponsors to advance the shoot or organize a tournament or event.

It should be noted that the minister awarded the winners of the 6-day long competition. BKSP became the runner-up and champion of Bogra Army Shooting Club.

Youth and Sports Minister Nazmul Hasan said that Bangladesh is a changing country under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh was once known to the world as a country prone to floods, droughts, famines and poverty. Today, Bangladesh is an emerging economy in Asia under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter. Bangladesh has already been identified as a country of immense potential in various international journals.



 

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the workshop titled “What to do by the Youth Development Department in the implementation of the election manifesto” organized at the head office of the Youth Development Department on Thursday morning, 08 February 2024.

The minister said that Digital Bangladesh was established under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter. Which was once unimaginable. Padma Seth has been built with its own funding after breaking through hundreds of conspiracies. Now, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced to build a prosperous modern smart Bangladesh by 2041. And youth society has a pioneering role in building Smart Bangladesh.

He also said that our youth society is very talented. There is nothing they cannot do. Youth can also play an important role in building Smart Bangladesh. For this, they will be provided modern and up-to-date training in line with the fourth industrial revolution through the Youth Development Department. Of course, more emphasis will be given to quality than quantity in all these trainings.

Sports and Welfare Society of People’s Leasing and Finance PLC (PLC), the pioneer Non-Bank Financial Institution (NBFI) in Sri Lanka, marked the World Children’s Day themed “Sihina Dakina Ape Lowak”.

As a responsible employer, the event was organized as an initiative to recognize and reward the talents of the children of PLC employees from islandwide branch footprint in five different age categories up to the age of 17 years.

Accordingly, demonstrated singing, dancing and artistic talents of over 250 children were independently evaluated by six teachers from Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya and D.S. Senanayaka College.  The award ceremony was ceremoniously held on the 27th of October 2022 at the BMICH with the participation of 45 winners. Winners were rewarded with medals, certificates and gift vouchers at a ceremonial event graced by the Chief Guest of the event, Shamindra Marcelline Chief Executive Officer / General Manager of PLC and the corporate management team. Prior to the ceremony, the winning children were able to enjoy a sightseeing tour on a double-decker bus in Colombo city.

PLC is a subsidiary of the People’s Bank, one of the largest state-owned banks in the country. Commencing operations in 1996 as a specialised leasing company, PLC was listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in 2011. Emirates reveals the most popular movies, TV and sport programmes enjoyed at 40,000 feet in 2021

Dubai, UAE – 9 February 2022: Sci-Fi action thriller Tenet and family favourite Cruella were among the most-watched movies, while Friends: The Reunion topped the TV charts at 40,000 feet in 2021, according to viewing trends released today by Emirates.

The largest airline in the world offers more than 4,500 channels of entertainment on ice (Information Communication Entertainment), its multi award-winning inflight entertainment system where passengers can watch the latest movies and TV series, listen to music and podcasts, follow their flight’s progress and see views from the aircraft’s external cameras; watch live news and sport, and stay connected through Wi-Fi.*

Emirates continually updates its inflight content, adding hundreds of movies, TV shows, podcasts and music channels each month to its extensive entertainment library on ice.

Top movies in 2021 on ice

The most viewed movie on Emirates flights last year stars John David Washington and Robert Pattinson and features Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. Tenet follows a secret agent who learns to manipulate the flow of time to prevent an attack from the future that threatens to annihilate the present world.

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s action and comedy Bad Boys for Life and Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard with Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek were also among the top most-watched movies on a list that trended towards action, comedy and thriller movies

World cinema is also very popular on ice and top picks in 2021 included French drama Who You Think I Am starring Juliette Binoche and the Oscar-winning film from Denmark Another Round.

Family favourites

Across all cabin classes, family movies were also hugely popular and the top performing films in this genre in 2021 included Cruella, a big hit on board starring Emma Stone and Emma Thompson and Mulan, the story of a young Chinese maiden who disguises herself as a male warrior to save her father.

Animated films Luca and Soul were also hugely popular, as was the new Wizarding World collection on ice, where adults and children alike enjoyed watching the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.

There are more than 1,500 movies from multiple genres available in up to 45 languages for passengers in First, Business and Economy Class on ice. 

The most popular TV in the sky

Emirates’ 2021 launch of TV series from HBO Max proved very popular with customers. Friends: The Reunion which was exclusively on board Emirates in the region, was among the most watched TV programmes. Other top TV selections included the award-winning drama series, Mare of Easttown starring Kate Winslet, and The Flight Attendant, a comedy, drama, mystery and thriller all-in-one, starring Kaley Cuoco. The HBO Max content on ice continues to delight passengers in 2022, with the addition of all three seasons of the hit series Succession.

Unmissable live sports

For many sports fans, not being able to tune into their favourite sporting events and live games is unthinkable, but with Emirates, you never have to miss a minute of live action on the Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra channels.
