Regarding the positive work of Bangladesh Police Women’s Welfare Association (PUNAK), Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Advisor Farida Akhtar said, “The police are doing police work. And beyond that, the way PUNAK is working with humanitarian and social responsibility is based on women. Even established big women’s organizations could not do the work you are doing. You have many extraordinary qualities. Whatever people think about the police; that idea will change if they see the work of PUNAK.”

The advisor made these remarks in his chief guest speech at the annual rally and fun fair-2025 of Punak at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium at Rajarbagh Police Lines on 2 May 2025 Friday, on the occasion of Police Week 2025.

Fisheries and Livestock Advisor Farida Akhtar said that there is no opportunity to go outside the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock before and after sleeping. She said, “What is eaten at the dining table when you wake up in the morning or what is eaten at night while sleeping. There is no opportunity to go outside my ministry. You have to understand that fish, meat, milk, eggs, everything is the main component of nutrition.”

Punak President Afroza Helen presided over the event, while Lutfe Siddiqui, Special Envoy of the Chief Advisor, Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Baharul Alam, and former President of Punak Central Committee Faizun Nesa Begum spoke as special guests.
