We must take Responsibility for Nurturing the Latent Talents of Students: Education Advisor

Advisor
Education Ministry Advisor Dr. C. R. Abrar said, “We have to take responsibility for nurturing the latent talent of students. We need to do something in the two ministries so that today, the young students who left their mark through the debate competition can develop this talent.”
The advisor said these things at the inauguration of the National Primary Education Week 2025 and the Primary Education Award 2024 ceremony at the Multipurpose Conference Hall of the Department of Primary Education in Dhaka on 10 May 2025 Saturday.

The Education Advisor said, “Ensure quality education and build a discrimination-free Bangladesh, National Primary Education Week is being celebrated with the slogan. This slogan is not only about what the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education should be, but also about what the entire education system should be. Therefore, everyone has to work from their respective positions to ensure quality education within our limited resources, our limited time and opportunities in the government.”

He said, “Educational institutions are institutions that produce craftsmen to build the country. Although the government has little time to do something for the young students here, I feel the pressure of responsibility.”

C. R. Abrar said, the state is responsible for taking care of students from childhood to tertiary institutions. The families of the students have entrusted this responsibility to the educational institutions. But we know that there are many variations in the case of SEGUR. The social status and political context of the concerned area means that if something is done well, it will be good, if something is done badly, it will be bad. To do something good, the local responsible social and political support of the concerned institution is required.

He said, “Teaching is a great profession, it is not a slogan. Teachers do not just come to work, they have taken the responsibility of developing students as craftsmen to build the country. Due to our insufficiency of resources, we are not able to give teachers the respect they deserve. But we have a responsibility to give the teachers who are in this great profession the respect they deserve. Starting from primary teachers to the vice-chancellors of universities, we should give them the respect they deserve in our conduct and conduct. At the inaugural ceremony of today’s Primary Education Week, we express our strong conviction that we will uphold the dignity of teachers.”

He also said that if the guardians who are not the pregnant body keep an eye on the educational institutions, then there will be no problems in the educational institutions. If students are encouraged to organize dance, singing, abrati, sports and various competitions along with their studies, their talents will develop along with their studies. These events require the support of people from all walks of life and society. Education is the most effective tool to eliminate inequality. Education plays a big role in a child’s growth and contribution to the international arena. The state should create such an environment for these children so that their latent talents can develop. Education is not just for jobs or business. Education is to develop a person as a human being so that justice is established in him. He called for reducing the pressure on students to study and making them interested in dance, singing, abrati and sports.

At the end of the Discussion Meeting, the Primary Education Medal 2024 was Awarded to the Winners.
Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar, Honorable Advisor, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, presided over the program, while Abu Taher Md. Masud Rana, Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, was present as special guests. and Abu Nur Md. Shamsuzzaman, Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education, delivered speeches.
