Colombo, Sri Lanka – May 20 2025 — Chokolaate proudly announces the Top Ten Finalists for the 15th Anniversary Edition of its much-anticipated Mother-Daughter Fashion Designer (MDFD) Contest 2025, a celebration of creativity, heritage, and timeless bonds. This year’s finalists bring forward a stunning array of themes that beautifully merge innovation with emotional depth, echoing the spirit of MDFD—where fashion meets family.
 



 

The 2025 edition, set to culminate in a glamorous Grand Finale in May, promises a showcase of boundary-pushing designs and heartfelt storytelling through fabric, form, and flair.

    Drawing from ancient Egyptian mythology, Paramie channels the mystique of gods and goddesses in her collection, infusing regal silhouettes and divine elegance.
  • Sanjalee AbeysingheSolitude & Serenity
    A tribute to Kandyan heritage, her designs balance tradition and tranquility, portraying silent strength through reimagined Sri Lankan motifs and modern refinement.
  • Sneha MurlidharEthereal Tides
    Merging Victorian silhouettes with the softness of jellyfish, Sneha’s collection is a visual symphony of motherhood, grace, and oceanic elegance.
  • Gayandi De SilvaBonded Beauty
    Inspired by the swan, Gayandi’s designs capture the poise and power of mother-daughter relationships through serene hues and emotive drapery.
  • Samali SenevirathneBeauty in the Common Things
    Finding wonder in the everyday, Samali celebrates the Common Tiger butterfly with vibrant patterns and transformative simplicity.

    Inspired by the glowing magic of bioluminescence, Hasna’s collection is an aquatic dreamscape of shimmering textures and mystical forms.
  • Ashen GunasingheSerpentine Bond
