Airtel Lanka, today announced a strategic partnership with global payments and technology giant, Mastercard which is expected to bring about more benefits for customers, this time in the form of limited time instant cashback rewards on all transaction made through Mastercard on the My Airtel app. These benefits are applicable for both recharges and bill payments made on My Airtel and marks the first time in Sri Lanka that instant cashback offers are being given for prepaid recharge transactions.
“Through this breakthrough partnership with Mastercard, we become the first in Sri Lanka to offer instant rewards that go straight to the wallet of prepaid users. This is especially relevant for our younger customer who is more conscious about convenience, continuity and staying connected always. There is a clear increase in the rise of e-commerce and a move away from cash. Prepaid users will receive instant cashback of Rs. 15 for any recharge of Rs. 150 or more made using Mastercard upto Rs 300 per calendar month per user. The cashback will be instantly credited to the user’s Airtel account.
Meanwhile, postpaid customers using Mastercard will receive a 10% discount for bill payments of Rs. 1,000 and above through the My Airtel app, with a maximum discount of Rs. 300, which is instantly deducted from the following month’s bill.

The cashback offer will be valid for a period of 3 months commencing from September 2019.
