Amãna Bank recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) which enables their students to obtain laptops under the Bank’s people friendly easy payment plan financing scheme. CA Sri Lanka is the largest professional accountancy body in Sri Lanka with more than 30,000 students and 6,000 active members.  As a result of the MoU, students of CA Sri Lanka can obtain financing up to Rs 150,000 to purchase laptops with a repayment tenure of up to 48 months at a special installment, thereby facilitating students to carry out their studies uninterruptedly online. Non-income earning students can also jointly apply for the facility with their income earning parents.

Commenting on this collaboration, Chief Executive Officer of CA Sri Lanka Dulani Fernando said “We believe that this collaboration would prove to be very useful to our student fraternity who are seeking to learn, but unfortunately are facing various difficulties in gaining access to online learning resources due to financial difficulties. Having a laptop of their own would strengthen their productivity and ensure effective learning methods especially during this pandemic where lectures and even exams are conducted virtually. We are grateful to Amana Bank for coming forward with an affordable financing scheme, which will greatly benefit thousands of our aspiring Chartered Accountants.”

Commenting on the partnership, Amãna Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Azmeer said “We are honored to have tied up with the CA Sri Lanka for such an initiative at a time when having a laptop is a must to continue ones education uninterruptedly. We believe that a sound education is the key to a world of endless possibilities and Amãna Bank is ready to help students reach such potential with this special financing scheme.”

CA Sri Lanka students who are interested to obtain the financial facility can visit https://www.amanabank.lk/ca-students-laptop-financing.html  to apply online and obtain full details of the offer along with the contact details of the relationship managers who will be assisting them.
