On the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, renowned director Naznin Hasan Khan has crafted a heartwarming single-episode television drama titled “Jamai Barite Eid”. The screenplay and dialogue have been written by Arpona Rani Rajbongshi. The drama features a talented cast including A.K.M. Hasan, Moushumi Hamid, Rocky Khan, Sayeka Ahmed, Kazi Razu, Sahela Akter, and Farid Hossain, among others.
Writer Arpona Rani Rajbongshi added: “You don’t need millions to be happy—what truly matters is the bond of family. It is in that connection that we discover real happiness. “Jamai Barite Eid ” aims to portray that very essence of life.”

Plot Summary: While it is common for people to celebrate Eid in their own homes, Rahim Mondol and his wife Khadija feel emptiness after marrying off their only daughter. Eid no longer feels joyful without her presence. Longing for connection, they decide to celebrate Eid at their daughter’s in-laws’ house. Though the daughter, her husband, and father-in-law welcome them warmly, the mother-in-law isn’t pleased, and tension brews.
This discomfort leads Tamanna’s parents to consider leaving early, opting not to share in the festive joy. However, it is the son-in-law, Galib, who takes charge and reunites everyone, bridging the emotional gaps.
They eventually agree to buy a sacrificial cow together. But things take a turn when the villagers mistakenly think Galib is a thief and tie him up—leading to a series of humorous and touching events.
