Asiri Central Hospital Conducts Vital Capacity Building Programme for Front-Line Health Officers from Northern Province

Fostering collaboration between the public and private sector, Asiri Group of Hospitals responded positively to the request made by Mrs. P. S. M. Charles, Governor of the Northern Province to ‘support advancing healthcare services in the Northern Province, through training and exposure for front-line officers in the sector.’

The three-day programme, conducted for 112 participants, in six batches, catered to both clinical and non-clinical staff in government hospitals and healthcare institutions, in the North. Participants included Directors, Medical Officers, Superintendents, Planning Officers, Matrons, Ward Sisters and Management Service Officers.

The programme encompassed a wide range of topics including Patient Safety Management, Quality in Healthcare, Information Management Systems and Communication, Infection Control, Waste Management, Human Resource Management, Cost Control and Costing & Logistics.

During the programme, participants were also able to gain first-hand experience of the hospital’s operations by touring the JCI accredited, Asiri Central Hospital’s wards, including the Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Catheterization Laboratory, Dialysis Centre, Cardiac, Emergency Treatment Units, the Bio Medical Department, Medical Records Department, fuel storage, generators, housekeeping areas, etc.




At the conclusion of the programme, all participants were awarded a certificate and the success of the programme was reflected in the very positive feedback received from the attendees.
