Atlas Axillia partnered with CIMA Sri Lanka to host the CIMA Art Camp for children with special needs and provided all necessary art supplies for this event. The Art Camp is an initiative of CIMA under the “100 pledges to give back to the community” programme undertaken in the Asia-Pacific Region, to commemorate CIMA’s Centenary year. 106 children with special needs from the Senehasa Education Resource Research and Information Centre (SERRIC) participated in the Art Camp, which was held recently at the SERRIC premises from 9.30am to 12.00pm. SERRIC is an organization that is committed to creating an inclusive society by providing care, education and guidance to children with special needs from military as well as civilian families.

Speaking about the partnership, Shaan Wickremesinghe, Director Marketing at Atlas Axillia said, “We are a 100% Sri Lankan brand, guided by Sri Lankan values and for the past 60 years we have been providing tools for expression and creativity while empowering our children on their journey of learning. We always endeavour to ‘Make Learning Fun’ for everyone. That is why we are proud to have partnered with CIMA to host their Art Camp for children with special needs. Through our efforts, we too are striving to create an inclusive future where every child matters and no one is left behind. Thus, our goals and the goals of the CIMA Art Camp are perfectly aligned.”

Selected drawings from the Art Camp will be made available for sale at the ‘CIMA Presidents Dinner 2020’ and all sales proceeds will be donated to SERRIC.
