20th March Update

The Board of Directors of the CSE has decided to close the market today (Friday) 20th March 2020 at 12 Noon in view of the curfew imposed by the government to enable staff to travel to their homes.

19th March Update

Trading on the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) will resume on Friday, 20th March 2020.  The revised Trading hours are set out below:

  • Pre-open session   : from 09.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.
  • Open Auction        : at 10.00 a.m.
  • Regular Trading  : will commence after the Open Auction at 10.00 a.m.
  • Market close         : at 1.00 p.m.

In view of the Government declaring a period of six (6) working days from 20th to 27th March 2020 for employees of the public and private sectors to work from home, the CSE requests the Member Firms/Trading Members to follow suit to the extent possible
