Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the provider of ultra-fast fibre optic was proud to announce that the company will be powering the latest in cyber games, SLT eSports Women’s Cyber Games organized by Gamer.lk. The SLT eSports Women’s Cyber Games, the first ever eSports event organized solely for female contestants will be held at Colombo City Centre between 20th & 21st April, 2019.
This is specifically designed and organized to encourage and motivate more women gamers to get involved in eSports. The inaugural competition of women’s cyber games has seen the registration of over 200,000 contestants so far. It comprises of a total prize pool of Rs. 100,000/- to be given away to the top 8 winners.
SLT has been an ardent supporter of eSports, having successfully organized several eSports championships in the past to uplift the eSports in Sri Lanka. The SLT eSports Women’s Cyber Games will be powered by SLT’s robust, reliable as well as ultrafast broadband connectivity provided through fibre technology. SLT broadband has been well known for its low-latency and highest speeds of over 100 Mbps.
