Ex-Pack Corrugated Cartons PLC, was awarded the Carbon Neutral certification for the second consecutive year, reaffirming its unwavering commitment towards sustainability and environment friendly manufacturing practices and pursuing actions that are essential to combat climate change.
This achievement is one that is well commendable given the nature of the industry it operates in. Ex-Pack was able to register a significant reduction in its carbon footprint by 22.3 percent from last year, tightening its annual Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission targets which covers all aspects of its operations. The organization’s GHG assessment followed ISO 14064:2018 reporting standard.
The GHG assessment, sourced from emissions from Ex-Pack’s energy & water consumption, waste management, transportation and other related consumptions, were verified by the National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC). The technical guidance was provided by co-energi, a leading Green Building Certification, MEP design and Carbon Neutral Consultancy service provider, who played an instrumental role in paving the pathway for Ex-Pack in achieving its certification.
