HNB Takes Home Three Awards at LankaPay Technnovation Awards 2025, Highlighting Innovation in Digital Banking

HNB PLC, a leader in Sri Lanka’s banking sector, has once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation and customer convenience, receiving three prestigious awards at the LankaPay Technnovation Awards 2025 held at the Shangri-La Colombo on 26th March 2025. HNB won the Excellence in Customer Convenience – Merit Award, the Most Innovative Bank of the Year – Silver Award, and the Best Lanka QR Enabler – Gold Award



 

Initiated in 2017, the LankaPay Technnovation Awards aim to recognise the pioneers of payment technology innovations in Sri Lanka, institutions that enhance the efficiency of the national payment network. HNB’s achievements at the awards reflect its continual efforts to lead in digital banking and its significant contributions towards the modernization and expansion of Sri Lanka’s payment systems.

These recognitions underscore HNB’s dedication to enhancing the digital banking experience and its pivotal role in the growth of Sri Lanka’s financial ecosystem. The awards also highlight HNB’s leadership in driving customer convenience, innovation, and facilitating seamless digital transactions, particularly through the Lanka QR initiative.

The bank’s “non-Face-to-Face” (NF2F) feature bridges the gap between physical and digital banking services, allowing users to seamlessly switch between online and in-branch transactions. Additionally, HNB SOLO, the digital wallet continues to gain traction as a versatile and user-friendly payment solution, enabling customers to make LankaQR and Bill Payments, Peer to Peer transfers via SOLO Max and manage all Justpay accounts linked in a single platform.
