The Ja-Ela Toastmasters Club has launched a membership drive to improve public speaking and communication skills of youth and employees in the corporate sector. The creator of the Ja-Ela Toastmasters Club Anura Perera said that enrolments towards this initiative are now open. “We are keen to woo youth and employees in the corporate sector especially in Kanadana and Ja-Ela areas. The club has been operational since 2017 and public speaking programs are regularly conducted at second floor Reality Plaza, Headway school language centre Ja- Ela. These are contacted on every second Saturday and fourth Saturday from 5 pm to 7 p.m. and we invite new members to come on these days and join us.” He said.

Toastmasters International is a world leader in developing communication and leadership skills and has a membership of nearly 350,000. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 15,900 club locations in 142 countries that make up the global network. “We need youngsters who will be future leaders to join our club,” Anura Perera said.
