JAMPHOTO enhances its services to offer real-time online photobook design

JAMPHOTO (Pvt) Ltd., Sri Lanka’s pioneer photobook producer, has announced the expansion of the company’s D-I-Y photobook creation service with the addition of an online module to offer match-less photobook and photo-gift personalisation software in Sri Lanka and beyond.

JAMPHOTO customers, who were previously required to download the Desktop version of the software from the JAMPHOTO website to design their own photobooks, can now design their photobooks online in real time on desktops as well as mobile devices as a result of JAMPHOTO’s new online software solution.

“Our company was founded in 2013, and we launched our desktop software the following year,” JAMPHOTO Founder and CEO Ashan Abeyesundere elaborated. “We recognised it was imperative to have online software in addition to the desktop version, in order to fuel our long-term growth strategy. Our customer base is a combination of professional photographers, hobby photographers and some consumers, and we recognised that the time is now right to expand to an online platform.”

“Sri Lanka is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia and JAMPHOTO has been the trailblazer for realising the potential of a strong consumer market for personalised photo products, Mr Abeyesundere added.

The JAMPHOTO software solution comprises a professional Desktop Designer, full ecommerce solution and comprehensive production module – all sitting on top of a powerful Product Management Platform designed to give photobook producers full flexibility and control. The online editor offers users the same functionality to design a wide range of photo-gifts that is currently available in the desktop version, including photobooks, photo frames, canvases, cut prints, cards, posters, calendars, glass and tile prints.

The online service allows anyone with a computer or mobile device with an internet connection access to compile their own photobooks with a wide choice of page sizes, backdrops, frames and cover themes. Once the photobook is designed, the customer can choose one of several paper types and the website will compute the cost of the photobook. The completed photobook in PDF format is stored on the JAMPHOTO server, and the company undertakes to deliver the printed photobooks to the customer.

JAMPHOTO is a two-time winner of Sri Lanka Print Awards (2016 and 2018) in the digital printing category and is well known as a leader in photobook production in the South Asian region.

JAMPHOTO’s new print and production facility in Pepiliyana is equipped with a sophisticated HP Indigo Digital Press, and offers high quality, custom-made photobooks to the professional segment. Its services are already very popular with wedding and event photographers who wish to produce elegant photobooks instead of standard albums.
