Meeting Between ICAB and the CIPFA,-UK (LBN)
The two-member delegation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) led by its President Maria Howlader FCA held a meeting with the team of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), UK on 12 May 2025 at the latter’s Office Chartered Accountants’ Hall, 01 Moorgate Place, London, UK.
The other member of ICAB delegation was Chief Operating Officer Mahbub Ahmed Siddique FCA.

 



 

The counterpart team members were Steve Watkins, Senior Lead International Partnership; Cal Hager, International Policy Manager of CIPFA; and an official of the same Institute.
The ICAB delegates discussed a wide range of professional issues including Joint Certification Program between ICAB and CIPFA on Public Sector Financial Management (PASFM) for ICAB Members and the students, strengthening the mutual collaboration between the two Institutes, and the initiative to work on the current and up-coming PSFM projects in Bangladesh.
Also noted that CIPFA, UK has awarded its membership through ICAB-CIPFA Pathway Membership Scheme under a MoU signed in 2017 to the ICAB delegates and they handed over the membership certificates to the ICAB President Maria Howlader FCA and Chief Operating Officer Mahbub Ahmed Siddique FCA.
