Nations Trust Bank recently hosted a workshop for over 110 stakeholders of small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) from the Kadawatha region to enhance their business knowledge and skills.

The event was held at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo and the keynote speaker at the event was business Development guru, Dr. Aminda Perera – Senior Lecturer at the Wayamba University. The subject matter of the keynote address was ‘How SMEs can best position themselves for growth and how they can differentiate themselves from competitors in their relevant sectors’. The workshop was an eye opening event and many customers left with insights that they previously did not have.

Meanwhile, Nations Trust Bank also conducted another seminar for customers of their Kuliyapitiya, Wariyapola and Giriulla Branches who are engaged in the coconut industry. More than 110 stakeholders attended this event, which was held at the Sirimali Royal Dawn Hotel. The keynote speaker at the event was Neelakanth Wannianayake – Director, the Industrial Service Bureau. He spoke about the present state of the coconut industry, challenges and opportunities.
