People’s Leasing Trincomalee Branch conducted the most successful Blood Donation Campaign marking the district’s highest volume of collected blood at a campaign

Trincomalee branch of the People’s Leasing & Finance PLC (PLC), the trusted leader among the Non-Bank Financial Institutions continued to contribute to a “give life” initiative by successfully hosting their annual blood donation campaign for the second time.

In a context where community resistance is high in the area towards donating blood due to associated misconceptions, the branch positively responded to the annual request made by the Trincomalee General Hospital, in coincidence with the branch anniversary celebrations.

Ably led by M. Kirupakaran, the Branch Manager of the Trincomalee Branch and his team, the blood donation drive was organised in line with the 19th Anniversary celebrations of the branch, on November 27, 2022 generously volunteering their time, efforts and resources for the successful completion of the campaign.

The generous act of solidarity, marked a participation of 156 people including PLC staff members who voluntarily donated their blood. In total, branch team contributed to collect 156 blood pints, marking the district’s highest volume of collected blood at a campaign. The initiative was ably supervised and tirelessly resourced by Consultant. M.F.Zeena Zanooz, Dr. W.C.M.Samaraweera, Dr. P.Britikka and Coordinator Mrs. S. Theivendran of the Trincomalee General Hospital.
