Small screen director and producer Polash Moni Das has made a special drama titled “International Judge”. Written by Faridul Islam Rubel, the shooting of the film has already been completed at Pubail in Gazipur.
“International Judge” also stars, Tariq Shapon, Aakhi Chowdhury, Kazi Raju, Rebeka Rouf, Farid Hossain, Hia Moni, among others.
Talking about the story, writer Faridul Islam Rubel said, “We don’t always have to chase views; sometimes it’s important to offer the audience something different. ‘International Judge’ is one such unique story.”
Director Polash Moni Das shared, “The story revolves around Ratan, who strives to present the traditional rural sport of Ha-du-du on an international platform. At the same time, he takes a stand against local thieves and fraudsters, bringing them under justice. It’s a wonderful social story with a meaningful message.”
Story being summarized is, Ratan, a young man from the village, suddenly returns from the city with an appointment letter—he has been officially appointed as an International Judge. This is the first time someone has been directly assigned such a role. His girlfriend Chameli is overwhelmed with joy and doesn’t know how to react to such great news.
Meanwhile, Ratan warns local lawyer Advocate Zakir that as long as he’s in the village, if he tries to deceive innocent people, complaints will be lodged against him in the international court. Out of fear, Zakir’s life becomes miserable. He feels that if this continues, he might end up starving.
Now, whenever anything happens in the village, people rush to seek justice from the International Judge Ratan. He begins resolving local disputes, and soon, people from distant areas also start coming to him. The entire village becomes a spectacle.
Adv. Zakir starts wondering—what qualifications led to Ratan being appointed as an International Judge? And if he really holds such a title, why is he still in the village? Why isn’t he abroad dispensing international justice? Is he just deceiving everyone with tall tales?
Amid various events, Ratan ends up officiating as an International Judge in a traditional Ha-du-du match. The game is broadcast live on TV from the Netherlands.
According to the production team, the drama will soon air on a private satellite television channel.
