In another significant milestone for the Sri Lankan Public Relations industry, PROI Worldwide, the world’s largest partnership of entrepreneurial communications agencies with partners in 72 countries, has named Adfactors PR Lanka as its Agency of the Year (AOY) winner for the APAC region. The award was received by its CEO, Rezani Aziz, at the PROI Global Summit, held recently in Stresa, Italy.
The AOY accolade is presented annually to one agency in each of PROI’s three regions—Asia Pacific (APAC), Europe Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and the Americas — based on exceptional business performance, entrepreneurial growth and contributions to the PROI network. Agencies are evaluated on metrics including revenue and new client growth, talent development, innovation, industry awards and commitment to PROI.
UK-based Lansons Team Farner won in EMEA and In the Americas, the award went to RF Binder, the New York and New Jersey, based Agency, which had garnered several awards, including PR Daily’s Top Agency (for the second consecutive year), Crain’s Best Place to Work in NYC (third year in a row) and The Observer’s Top PR Firm for Crisis (second consecutive year).
“Entrepreneurship is about more than just business success; it’s about daring to innovate, inspiring others, and leading by example in our ever-evolving markets. The PROI Agency of the Year award acknowledges entrepreneurial communications agencies that demonstrated excellent business success, while also providing outstanding leadership and contributions to their fellow PROI partners,” said Angela Scaffidi, Global Chair of PROI Worldwide and Chair and Founding Partner of Australian-based SenateSHJ.
Adfactors PR Lanka achieved significant milestones in 2024, diversifying its senior leadership, recruiting a mix of team members from media, communications and finance backgrounds, while also drawing on analytics, programming, and public policy experts to bolster the agency’s ability to meet the evolving needs of clients in Sri Lanka, and global businesses entering the island.
“The world around us, especially our Country was changing rapidly and we had to adapt and mature to deliver on the business requirements of our Clients, and that’s what we did. This award belongs to my entire team – who worked through moments of fulfillment, highs and lows and like all things PR, chaos too at times, delivering towards a focused strategy” said CEO, Adfactors PR Lanka, Rezani Aziz
