Hindu workers of an Indian origin employed at RS Steel Company recently organized a “Wishwakarma Puja” to be held at the company premises to bless the company and its workers.
The event (Puja) that was held with the fullest blessings of Dr. Ramesh Shivalingam, Chairman, RS Steel was coordinated and organized by Mr. Tharun Kumar Singh (Forman), Mr. Dinesh Kumar Singh (Production Manager) and Mr. Suresh Kumar Patel (Factory Supervisor and Senior Officer) of RS Steel Pvt Ltd.
Veteran Hindu priests of the Hindu Kovils in our country performed the Puja and RS Steel management and the staff participated.
‘Vishwakarma Puja’ is performed to honour the God ‘Wishwakarma’ who is believed by the Hindus to be the God of building constructions and architecture. He is the personification of ultimate reality and deity of the creative power. He is considered to be the architect/divine engineer of the universe according to Rigveda.
Hindu scriptures describe many of Wishwakarma’s architectural accomplishments. He had built several towns and temples for the gods and had created the ‘Dwarka’ city ruled by the God Krishna. Wishwakarma also had designed exclusive weapons for the gods in the federation.
Mr. Vishwanath Balaji, Finance Manager, RS Steel Pvt Ltd speaking of the “Wiswakarma Puja” organized by the Indian workers said, “We have many Indian workers at RS Steel whose religion is Hindu. This ‘Wishwakarma Puja’ was organized by them. ‘Vishwakarma Puja’ is performed to honour the God ‘Wishwakarma’ who is believed by the Hindus to be the God of building constructions and architecture.”
He added, “Our Indian workers did this Puja to offer blessings to our company which is in the construction sphere and all of its workers. The Puja will also bequeath blessings upon all construction works in the country”.
