Seylan Bank, in an exclusive partnership with Cinnamon Nature Trails and Cinnamon Hotels, wrapped up The Impossible Shot, an evening promoting wildlife photography and driving the importance of conservation efforts, delivered by world-renowned wildlife photographer-Paul Goldstein, on the 6th of April at Level 22 of Cinnamon Life.

Organised by Cinnamon Nature Trails and Cinnamon Hotels, the event aimed to lead audiences on a journey through singular and unforgettable moments in nature, caught on camera. Led by outspoken conversationist and award-winning photographer Paul Goldstein. Having travelled extensively across the globe in his forty-year career as a conservationist, photographer, and nature lover himself, Paul Goldstein has traversed all seven continents in search of singular moments in nature to capture. With a solid reputation as a candid and dynamic storyteller, Goldstein’s unique style of instruction and leadership has earned him widespread acclaim as a campaigner of conversation and wildlife travel. Backed even further by his experience leading wildlife tours across Africa, Asia, South America, and the polar regions, Goldstein was uniquely positioned to lead the Impossible Shot’s evening celebration of conservation efforts and visual storytelling.

The evening’s significance was amplified further with a presentation titled ‘Chasing a Dream’, by Sri Lanka’s award-winning wildlife photographer, conservationist, and Vice President of Cinnamon Nature Trails, Chitral Jayatilake. The presentation explored the unique challenges and triumphs that accompany the art of wildlife photography, offering a unique perspective to complement Goldstein’s own.

Highlighting the enduring and ongoing collaboration between the Bank with a Heart with Cinnamon Nature Trails and Cinnamon Hotels and their shared vision of curating experience-based events, this event represented an endeavour to encourage conservation, while also acting to ensure protocols to safeguard Sri Lanka’s ecosystems.

Discussing the significance of the event, Asiri Abhayaratne, Assistant General Manager, Marketing & Sales, Seylan Bank PLC, said, “The Impossible Shot is the latest chapter in our venture to not only create truly memorable experiences for our clients, but also amplify public awareness about the importance of persevering our country’s natural treasures. We recognise the profound wealth the environment enriches our lives with. As such, we mean to facilitate further efforts, including the next edition of the Gathering of the Giants, an event celebrating a truly rare gathering of elephants, to advocate sustainable futures for the country and the economy as well.”
