SLT-MOBITEL, the National ICT Solutions Provider, renewed its commitment to upholding Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage by actively participating in the sacred Poson Aloka Pooja which concluded recently.
Organized by the Government of Sri Lanka, the event at Mihintale demonstrated Sri Lanka’s deep-rooted religious legacy, attracted and united thousands of devotees from every part of the country. This year’s Poson Aloka Pooja was graced by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, emphasizing the event’s significance to the nation.

Recognizing the significance of Poson as a time of reflection, unity, and spiritual devotion, SLT-MOBITEL provided key infrastructural support to enhance the experience for devotees. As part of the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment, a pioneering ‘Data Dansala’ offered data to participants, ensuring they remained connected while engaging in religious observances.
Additionally, SLT-MOBITEL facilitated free transport services providing bus rides from Anuradhapura to Mihintale, making pilgrimage accessible to a wider audience.
Further strengthening community outreach, SLT-MOBITEL hosted an Ice Cream Dansala at its Anuradhapura branch, spreading joy among pilgrims.
