Colombo, Sri Lanka, May 19, 2025—Sunshine Holdings PLC partnered with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – a member of the World Bank Group – to implement a comprehensive women’s employment advisory program aimed at enhancing women’s employment opportunities and creating respectful workplaces.

The partnership, supported by IFC’s Facility for Investment Climate Advisory Services (FIAS) program, will leverage IFC’s expertise to conduct a detailed diagnostic of women’s employment within the company with the goal of enhancing women’s recruitment and retention across the group. IFC will provide specialized training on Respectful Workplaces to strengthen the organization’s prevention strategies, reporting mechanisms, and response systems.

This training will be complemented by offline tools and guidance on the monitoring and evaluation of respectful workplace policies and practices. The partnership aims to strengthen the organization’s value proposition as an employer of choice for both men and women across its industries.
