UPS supports the national drive against COVID19 distributing Pfizer – BioNTech Covid-19 doses in Sri Lanka

UPS in Sri Lanka is proud to announce the delivery of the first batch of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine at Bandaranaike International Airport, in Sri Lanka on the 5th of July 2021, supporting the country’s fight against the pandemic.

UPS’s temperature-controlled delivery fleet is equipped to maintain ultra-cold storage temperature conditions of Pfizer – BioNTech Covid-19 doses to deliver these life-saving vaccines to the government.

Rachid Fergati, UPS Managing director for Middle East and Indian subcontinent elaborates: “UPS is honoured to support Sri Lanka’s national drive against the COVID pandemic, and our teams have been working around the clock to ensure the smooth delivery of these temperature sensitive vaccines. Staying at the forefront of the COVID-19 fight, UPS has delivered over 400 million COVD-19 vaccines globally so far and is on track to deliver at least 1 billion vaccines by the end of this year.
