In a landmark partnership for school cricket in Uva, Yema Marketing and Ovitiyas Hotel Bandarawela were announced as the Official Clothing Sponsors of the 20th edition of the Battle of the Golds – Uva 2025 between St Joseph’s College, Bandarawela and Bandarawela Central College.
Under the joint agreement, Yema Marketing – best known for its ISO- and GMP-certified hospitality products – will deliver clothing solutions, co-branded by Ovitiyas Hotel Bandarawela.
The two-day encounter is set for May 23-24 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Sooriyawewa, drawing thousands of alumni, students and cricket fans to celebrate one of Sri Lanka’s major school rivalries.

First played in 1967, the Battle of the Golds has become a highlight of the province’s sporting calendar. Organisers anticipate that the refreshed look provided by Yema Marketing and Ovitiyas Hotel will set a new benchmark for event presentation while adding extra flair to an already fiercely contested rivalry.
With both schools in top form and the backing of two home-grown brands, the 20th Battle of the Golds – Uva promises spirited competition, elevated fan engagement and a celebration of school cricket at its finest.
