We would like to use this partnership to showcase the Sparkling creativity, talent and strengths of moose clothing on the global stage. This is something we’ve been discussing for a long period of time, and I hope this initiative will mark as a stepping stone to reach new heights.”

“This partnership further enhances Moose Clothing Company’s continuous engagement with Sri Lanka Cricket to promote the game, and by doing so, I am sure the firm’s well-recognized clothing brand will gain the required global exposure,” said Mr. Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket.

The new jersey has been designed following a thorough research and development analysis of the engineered fabric to enhance performance and ease of movement of the player combining technical fabrics used across the highest level in sport. The interior of the fabric will help to pull moisture away from the skin and transfer it to the outer layer while the exterior surface will disperse and release this moisture for more efficient dry times. Continuous evaporation prevents saturation and regulates temperature in both hot and cold conditions. The fabric is highly breathable and lightweight, which will be an added advantage to the players.

The jersey designs combine critical aesthetic elements inspired by the culture, heritage and attractions of the country as well as depicting a rebirth of the lion nation with a combination of colours from the national flag. The colours used are meant to denote a sense of pride and rejuvenation in the country. In keeping with SLC iconic blue and yellow the jersey will also showcase a dash of orange as well as the Lion head honoring the bravery and resilience of the Sri Lankan people.

“The bold design of the jersey embodies the passion of both Sri Lankan team and its supporters. It is a symbol of the rebirth of a proud nation, representing much needed cheer, energy, warmth, happiness, and the bravery of the Sri Lankan people. As a home grown brand, it is indeed an exceptionally proud moment for us to be on the Sri Lanka cricket jersey. And we are looking forward to bringing the cricket jersey to the cricket lovers using our retailer network,” said Ms.Kithmini De Silva, Head of Marketing of Moose Clothing Company.

The Moose Clothing and SLC partnership will undoubtedly help to bring Sri Lanka’s fashion and apparel industry to new heights. It is a proud moment for both brands, and the jersey will be worn with pride by the Sri Lankan cricket team.
