For the first time, Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is going to participate in the Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2023 organized by Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) on March 2-4, 2023 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Dhaka.

Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Mr. Mahbub Ali, MP will be Chief Guest at the inauguration ceremony Mr. KOMINE Ken, First Secretary, the Embassy of Japan and Ms. SUZUMORI Kanako, Senior Director of JNTO Singapore Office will be present in the occasion.

The BTTF 2023 is supported by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board, The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Bangladesh Tourist Police.

Tourism organizations from Malaysia, Nepal, India, UAE, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Vietnam, Thailand and Turkey will also participate in this fair. Emirates has received an impressive five global and regional awards from two prestigious travel and aviation ceremonies in the past week, winning the titles of ‘Best Airline in the World’ and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’ at the ULTRAs 2022 awards, and a further ‘World Class Award’, ‘5 Star Global Official Airline Rating’, and ‘Passenger Choice Award for Best Global Entertainment’ at APEX 2023 awards.

Based on a combination of certified passenger feedback and professional audits, Emirates was honoured with a ‘World Class Award’ for safety, well-being, sustainability, service, and inclusiveness, a ‘5 Star Global Official Airline Rating’ recognising all aspects of the global airline, and a ‘Passenger Choice Award for Best Global Entertainment’ for the best-in-class ice inflight entertainment system, at the APEX/IFSA expo in Long Beach, California on 26 October. APEX is one of the world’s largest international airline associations, hosting an annual industry awards ceremony since 2018.

Days later at the glittering ULTRAs 2022 award ceremony in the Pan Pacific London, Emirates was honoured with two top awards – ‘Best Airline in the World’ and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East.’ Emirates was highlighted for its industry-leading services, global network, and best-in-class travel experiences, at the ceremony on 31 October. The ULTRA awards are also decided by consumer votes, an international community of two million travellers who have recognised Emirates as the leading airline in the world for luxury travel.

Alongside many notable members in the travel industry, Sir Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline, attended the event and received the ULTRA’s awards in London, while Patrick Brannelly, SVP of Retail, IFE and Connectivity attended the APEX awards in California.

Emirates is renowned for its industry-leading initiatives and unmatched travel experiences. Earlier this year, the airline was recognised at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2022, taking home three coveted awards including, “World’s Best Economy Class,” “World’s Best Economy Class Catering,” and for the 17th consecutive time, “World’s Best Inflight Entertainment.”

Flying better into the future

The airline recently announced a US$ 2 billion investment to enhance the on-board experience for customers. This includes: the largest-known airline retrofit programme of 120 aircraft fitted with Emirates Premium Economy cabins and latest interiors across all cabins; a new hospitality-focused service delivery model; and enhanced menus to offer customers elevated meal choices, new vegan menus, and a “cinema in the sky’ experience. Emirates has also invested more than US$ 350 million with Thales to equip its incoming fleet of A350s with next generation inflight entertainment solutions, offering passengers high-definition screens and a memorable cinematic experience.

The Group’s momentous growth is aligned with its 2025 objective to reach over 150 properties across Africa

CAPE TOWN, South Africa, April 7, 2022/ — Radisson Hotel Group (www.RadissonHotels.com) continues its ambitious African growth and development plan with five new hotel signings secured across the continent to date this year, adding almost 600 rooms to its African portfolio. In 2022, the Group aims to add more than a dozen hotels, reaching just over 100 hotels in operation and under development on the continent.

In 2021, Radisson Hotel Group set a record with 14 hotel signings in countries such as Morocco, Djibouti, Ghana, and Zambia, adding over 2,500 rooms to its African portfolio. The Group’s momentous growth is aligned with its 2025 objective to reach over 150 properties across Africa, up from almost 100 hotels today.

The five new hotel signings in Q1 2022 span the continent from Ethiopia and Senegal to Tunisia and Ghana and stretch across the Group’s brand portfolio from the fast-growing upscale Radisson brand to the Group’s newest conversion brand, Radisson Individuals.

Radisson Hotel Addis Ababa Bole Airport in Ethiopia

Currently under construction, the Radisson Hotel Addis Ababa Bole Airport is on track to open its doors in summer 2023 and will be the first Radisson branded hotel in East Africa. Located 1.8km from the third largest airport hub in Africa, Bole International Airport, home to Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest airline, and the newly upgraded terminal, the hotel is also adjacent to the country’s new national stadium which is still under construction.

Radisson Resort Dakar Saly in Senegal

The property located in Saly, a popular seaside resort in Senegal and the Sub-Saharan region, will be the first Radisson resort in Africa and the second Radisson branded property in Senegal when it opens its doors in 2024. Saly is the second most popular tourist destination in the country after Dakar and includes a wide range of leisure facilities. The resort offers easy access to the Blaise Diagne International Airport of Dakar, the city center of the capital, and the community of Diamniadio via a brand-new highway.

Radisson Hotel Sfax in Tunisia

The hotel comprising of standard rooms and suites from Junior to Presidential, will be the first and only internationally branded upscale hotel in the city, catering to the government, corporate, and MICE demand in the local and wider areas. Opening in Q2 2022, Radisson Hotel Sfax, Tunisia will be located in the city center, adjacent to the Port of Sfax, the most important trade port of the country, and a 20-minute drive from Sfax-Thyna International Airport, which serves the entire region.

La Maison Blanche Tunis, a member of Radisson Individuals

This existing, independent hotel in Tunis, will undergo a full renovation prior to re-opening its doors in January 2023. La Maison Blanche Tunis joins the Group’s existing two hotels in operation and three under development in Tunisia, with a total of almost 1,000 rooms. As the economic and commercial capital of Tunisia, Tunis is home to numerous international companies and institutions, and benefits from a rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes. The hotel is 5km from Tunis-Carthage International Airport, and 800m from Tunis Train Station.

Number One Oxford Street Hotel & Suites, a member of Radisson Individuals in Accra, Ghana

The property, scheduled to open in Q2, will consist of various rooms and suites, including a three-bedroom penthouse and a premium presidential suite, as well as serviced apartments offering a separate living room, balcony, and fully furnished kitchen This will be the Group’s third property in Accra and the first of two Radisson Individuals hotels to open in Ghana, paving the way for future brand expansion in the country. Located in the Osu neighborhood, the hotel will be conveniently close to Accra’s financial business district and government ministries.

Around 70,000 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka in December, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). Dhammika Wijesinghe, Director-General of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, said that most tourists arrived from India, England, Germany, Russia, the United States, and Australia. In addition, she said a rise in the number of tourists visiting the country has been observed.
